This essential yet understated ingredient goes splendidly with barrel-aged spirits and bright citrus. It’s also delicious with coffee, waffles and pancakes. B.G. Reynolds' Orgeat is made with almonds and cane sugar. Some naturally occurring gum is added to keep the almond oils from separating.

1oz. dark rum
3/4oz. fresh lime juice
